A tree
plantation drive spearheaded by our Chief Guest, Shri. Mukul Kumar, Deputy
Commissioner, Panchkula and Chairperson of The British School, Smt. Urmila Sethi and around 500 students of
The British School, Sector 12, Panchkula was performed within the campus of the
school as an earnest effort for conserving the ecology and to foster the right
kind of space and atmosphere around the children of the school.

Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula initiated
the drive by planting a tree in the school yard.
Marking the occasion of Tree Plantation, Director of the School,
Mr. Sanjay Sethi said, “A plant needs to be
maintained for 2-3 years and then it will stand for life. These children can
also make a difference by doing their bit. They are the future of the world and
should be educated about the environment and its preservation.”
An exhibition ‘Indian Trail Blazers’ was also held in the school. Students of Primary
and Secondary Wing participated with great passion and created beautiful projects,
models, charts, drawings pertaining to various subjects like: Number System,
Planetary Science, Climate Science and Atmospheric Administration, Earth
Science, Medicine, Nuclear Research and Missile Development and displayed them
in the exhibition.
The exhibits revered the research conducted by Indian
Scientists in the above fields and explained their work in the form of three-
dimensional models. The children went into the depth to explore the
achievements made by Indian Trail Blazers who have contributed in the various
field of Education and Sciences.
